The harvest of Brazil’s record 70.56-million-tonne soybean crop was 85 per cent complete last Monday, up from 77 per cent the week prior. On average, Brazil harvests 80 per cent of its crop by this week in the season. The world’s second-biggest soybean producer and exporter after the United States harvested a record 68.5 million tonnes of soy in 2009-10, grain analyst Celeres said.
