Russia will debate whether to extend its ban on grain exports after July 1, Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov said Feb. 22 after meeting Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. Russian officials have said an extension of the ban will depend on the success of this year’s harvest. Russia is forecasting an 85 million tonne harvest, which would leave a small exportable surplus after domestic consumption and restocking. – Reuters
