Emily Gross of Bow Island is one of six recipients of this year’s $2,500 Canadian Agri-Business Education Foundation scholarship.
The scholarships are awarded to students entering or currently pursuing an agricultural or agri-food-related program at a Canadian college, university or technical institution. They are awarded based on a combination of leadership attributes, and an essay or video response to a question about the agri-food sector. (This year’s question was: What do you consider to be the two main opportunities for the Canadian agriculture and food industry and which one inspires you the most?)
Up to seven scholarships are awarded annually (including one in Alberta). Applications open in late winter, with an application deadline of April 30. For more info, go to www.cabef.org.
