Don’t keep your feelings bottled up

The Do More Agriculture Foundation has launched a new campaign to raise awareness about the importance of talking about mental health challenges

The #TalkItOut campaign addresses the stressors those in agriculture face, such as weather uncertainty, market instability and financial pressures, it said.

“Talking it out can help,” said Megz, Reynolds, executive director of Do More Ag. “None of us have to be alone with our thoughts. There is power in connecting with each other, in finding the right support — and it all starts with a conversation.”

Beware giving horses too much iron

Horses consuming too much iron through diet or well water risk health problems like laminitis. Mineral testing forage and water is good practice for owners.

The campaign also aims to promote resources and support for those struggling with mental health challenges, and help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
