Online forum offers chance to just talk

The Do More Agriculture Foundation is hosting a series of online workshops on mental health. The Talk It Out sessions, which are being held over the next three months, give participants a chance to discuss mental health issues and ask questions. They will be moderated by mental health professional Lauren Van Ewyk. She is a registered social worker, foster mom and agricultural mental health advocate, and also farms with her husband in Ontario.

The free sessions started this month and are held every second Wednesday on Zoom at 5 p.m. Alberta time. The first session was on May 19 and will be followed by workshops on June 2, 16, and 30, and on July 14 and 28.

The link and sign-in info can be found at domore.ag (click on the Talk It Out link at the top of the home page). Participants don’t have to turn on their computer’s camera if they don’t want to. (This also makes it easier to connect in areas where internet bandwidth is limited.)
