Australia’s wheat harvest faces weather risks as too much rain threatens quality in the eastern part of the country while dry weather is causing crop failures in Western Australia, industry sources said last week. Up to 50 millimetres fell across a large swathe of eastern Australia the previous week but mostly dry conditions were forecast for this week. Wet weather has already seen early-harvested crops in the central wheat belt of northeastern Queensland state downgraded to feed quality. – Reuters
