CPS provides funding for grain safety program

Crop Production Services is giving $80,000 to the Grain Safety Program. The number of people being trapped in grain is on the rise, and this program features a mobile demonstration unit.

“The mobile unit will be used to raise awareness about the hazards of moving grain,” said Marcel Hacault, executive director of the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association. “ It will also be available for training first responders in rescue techniques and by larger farms to develop customized emergency procedures.”

The goal is to have the mobile demonstration unit ready by November. For more information about the program, contact CASA at 877-452-2272 or [email protected].
