Sclerotinia testers needed

The Canola Council of Canada is looking for beta testers for a new sclerotinia risk assessment tool. The goal is ultimately to help growers make timely decisions on whether a foliar fungicide application is advised.

For 2023, the council is seeking testers to use this tool and confirm whether a recommendation is accurate for that growing area. The 2023 target is 100 fields surveyed across Western Canada.

Participants would need to complete a short survey of field conditions at application time, leave a small unsprayed check strip, evaluate the application at seed colour change and collect a stem sample for evaluation.
