New executive director at WGRF

Saskatchewan Pulse Growers executive director Garth Patterson has stepped down to accept a new position as executive director of the Western Grains Research Foundation.

“I am extremely proud to have been associated with one of the most successful industries in Saskatchewan,” Patterson said in a release.

Patterson has been with the pulse growers for 16 years. He will continue  as executive director until the end of the month. The board has already begun the process of recruiting a new leader, said chairman Lee Moats.

“It will be a very difficult task to replace Garth. Not only has he built strong relationships in this industry, he also has great experience and has brought enthusiasm and passion to the position,” Moats said.
