DeGroot along with fellow Albertan Nicole Steed and six other young Canadians also received $1,000 CIBC 4-H Post-Secondary scholarships.

Two other Albertans, Cole Chesterman and Emma Van Steekelenburg, were among 12 young Canadians receiving TD 4-H Agriculture Scholarships, which are worth $2,500.
