Cervus Equipment is building a new facility near Penhold that will combine operations from its Red Deer and Olds John Deere dealership locations.

The new 44,000-square-foot facility at the junction of Highway 2 and Highway 42 is expected to open in early 2022.

Travel charges for field service technicians will be charged at the same rate as would have been charged by the Olds or Red Deer dealerships for two years from the opening of the new Penhold location, Cervus said in a release.

Equipment transportation will also be charged at the old rate for two years. The new shop will have 16 service bays with an overhead crane and more parts inventory, it said.
