Canadian farmers have an opportunity to win the Robert L. Ross Memorial Scholarship to attend the Canadian Total Excellence in Agricultural Management (CTEAM) program.
The program offers detailed financial, marketing and human relations management skills for producers, who use their own operation as a case study. It is put on by Agri-Food Management Excellence, the country’s only national farm management learning program.
It is taught by well-known farm management specialists such as Merle Good, John Fast, and Larry Martin. The next course begins in December 2019 and has four modules, each in a different Canadian city and lasting for several days.
The $4,500 scholarship can be applied towards CTEAM tuition and travel costs.
Robert (Bob) Ross was instrumental in guiding the CTEAM program, inspiring and encouraging farm management excellence across Canada through his leadership and passion for the agricultural community. He fought a courageous battle with cancer, passing in March 2014.
Scholarship applicants must be more than 21 years of age and possess a passion and devotion to excellence in farm business management.
Applications can be downloaded at agrifoodtraining.com. The deadline for scholarship applications is Sept. 15.
