The 2019 edition of the Cattlemen’s Young Leaders program is now accepting applications — and the organization is reminding would-be applicants they don’t have to be ranchers.
That’s one of the themes of a “myth-busters” video at the CYL website by filmmaker Ben Wilson, a member of the 2017 cohort who has done work for a number of beef organizations.
The video stresses the program allows participants to schedule their own learning experience and that many, including Wilson, have young families.
The program matches young leaders with mentors and gives them a $2,000 travel budget to attend industry events.
The deadline for applications is March 31.
