Three young Albertans are among the 15 4-H members who received $1,000 John Deere Canada 4-H scholarships.

The scholarships are for students pursuing a post-secondary education at a Canadian college or university in a degree, certificate, or trade-based program. The Alberta recipients are Kaylee Huppertz, Kaylie Krys, and Dawson Pahl.

4-H Canada has a number of scholarships, and the application period for 2019 scholarships reopens on March 1. However, applications for the $1,000 Coca-Cola Foundation awards are being accepted until Oct. 31.
