This year’s edition of the Young Guns Contest is now accepting entries.
The annual competition put on by Alberta Beef Producers is open to those aged eight to 21 and involved in Beef 4-H, junior cattle shows or beef production.
“We want you to grab a crystal ball and take a look at what the future holds. What do you think will be the beef industry’s greatest innovation in the years to come?” ABP said in a release.
Entries can be a written piece, presentation, video, social media campaign, blog post or media pitch and answer the question: ‘What does the future of beef look like?’
The first-place winner will receive $1,000 with the second- and third-place finishers receiving $500 and $250 respectively.
Submissions must be entered by midnight July 30, with the winners determined by a panel of judges in mid-August. The entry form can be found at the Alberta Beef Producers website. The form and submission should be sent to:
